Segera setelah mendengar suara ledakan dan tembakan, pasukan keamanan segera menuju ke daerah tersebut, menutup jalan menuju lokasi penyerangan, dan mengambil tindakan keamanan secara ekstensif.

”Seorang Reporter Aljazeera di Ankara menyebutkan bahwa lokasi serangan juga dekat dengan markas besar Parlemen, yang memulai sidang barunya setelah liburan musim panas berakhir, dimana Presiden Turki Recep Tayyip Erdogan, dijadwalkan menyampaikan pidato pada saat itu.
