Hiramedia : Setelah beberapa bulan ditutup karena pandemi Corona (COVID-19), Masjidil Haram di Mekkah dan Masjid Nabawi di Madinah kini dibuka kembali untuk jamaah Umrah, termasuk untuk jamaah dari luar negeri.
Sejak bulan November 2020, Pemerintah Kerajaan Arab Saudi memberi zin kepada jamaah Umrah dari luar. Jamaah umrah asing pertama setelah larangan sementara dicabut, tiba di Mekkah Arab Saudi, pada Rabu malam, Arabnews.com melaporkan (4/11/2020).
Dilansir arabnews.com, Presiden Presidensi Umum Urusan Dua Masjid Suci Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais menyapa para peziarah setibanya mereka di Masjidil Haram. Para peziarah tiba di Kerajaan pada hari Minggu dan menjalani masa isolasi diri selama tiga hari.
Bandara Internasional King Abdul Aziz di Jeddah menerima penerbangan pertama peziarah internasional pada hari Minggu dari Pakistan dan Indonesia.
Kerajaan Arab saudi sementara menangguhkan ziarah umrah pada akhir Februari 2020 sebagai tindakan pencegahan untuk menghentikan penyebaran virus corona. ( Fath)
