dilansir aljazeera.net (27/11/2021), Mottaki telah mengkonfirmasi bahwa dia akan berdiskusi di Doha dengan pejabat AS mengenai pencabutan embargo aset Afghanistan di luar negeri, dan membuka halaman baru dalam hubungan dengan Washington.
Dalam konteks terkait, koresponden Al-Jazeera melaporkan bahwa pertemuan sedang diatur – malam ini, Sabtu – antara delegasi dan perwakilan Uni Eropa, untuk membahas sejumlah masalah dasar, termasuk dimulainya kembali hubungan diplomatik Eropa dan internasional dengan Afghanistan, selain memberikan bantuan kemanusiaan dan mencabut pembekuan aset keuangan Afghanistan di luar negeri.
Di sisi lain, delegasi dari Qatar, dipimpin oleh Mutlaq bin Majid Al-Qahtani, Utusan Khusus Menteri Luar Negeri untuk Memerangi Terorisme dan Mediasi dalam Penyelesaian Sengketa, bertemu – pada hari Sabtu di Doha – dengan delegasi dari pemerintah sementara Afghanistan yang dipimpin Amir Khan Muttaki.
Kantor Berita Qatar mengatakan bahwa pertemuan itu membahas topik-topik yang berkaitan dengan memerangi terorisme, mempromosikan hak asasi manusia dan bantuan kemanusiaan.
Kedua belah pihak menekankan pentingnya bantuan kemanusiaan untuk menjangkau rakyat Afghanistan yang layak, terutama dengan mendekatnya musim dingin.
Selama pertemuan tersebut, Qatar menekankan pentingnya memastikan bahwa sekolah terus beroperasi di Afghanistan, dan kebutuhan untuk memberikan kesempatan pendidikan bagi semua segmen masyarakat Afghanistan, terutama anak perempuan, dan memperbarui komitmennya untuk terus bekerja dengan pihak Afghanistan dan mitra internasional untuk mempromosikan stabilitas di Afghanistan.
