Hiramedia : Menteri Luar Negeri dan Pertahanan AS meninggalkan Washington dalam perjalanan mereka ke Doha untuk mengoordinasikan posisi di Afghanistan dan mendukung upaya evakuasi, sementara beberapa negara Barat memutuskan untuk memindahkan kedutaan mereka di Afghanistan ke Doha.
Departemen Luar Negeri AS seperti dilansir aljazeera.net mengumumkan bahwa Blinken akan mengunjungi Qatar Senin, (5/9/2021) sebelum menuju ke Jerman, untuk menegaskan kembali komitmen Washington terhadap hubungan yang kuat dan mengungkapkan rasa terima kasih atas kerja sama yang berkelanjutan dalam prioritas bersama.
Departemen Luar Negeri mengatakan dalam sebuah pernyataan bahwa “Blinken akan bertemu di Doha, Emir Negara Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, dan pejabat senior, untuk berterima kasih atas dukungan Doha untuk penyeberangan yang aman bagi warga Amerika dan Afghanistan.”
Departemen Luar Negeri menambahkan bahwa Blinken akan membahas dengan pejabat Qatar koordinasi upaya evakuasi, dan prioritas regional lainnya.
Dalam sebuah tweet yang dia posting di akun Twitter-nya sebelum meninggalkan Washington, Menteri Luar Negeri AS mengatakan bahwa dia akan memiliki kesempatan di Doha dan Ramstein untuk berterima kasih kepada Qatar dan Jerman secara langsung atas dukungan luar biasa yang mereka berikan dalam evakuasi yang aman dari Afghanistan. .
Di sisi lain, Menteri Pertahanan AS Lloyd Austin meninggalkan Washington sebagai bagian dari tur kawasan Teluk untuk membahas perkembangan di Afghanistan, dan dijadwalkan mengadakan pembicaraan di Doha tentang posisi koordinasi dan mendukung upaya evakuasi dari Afghanistan.
Terkait perkembangan di Afganistan, Kantor Berita Qatar melaporkan bahwa Emir Negara Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, menerima telepon dari Perdana Menteri Pakistan Imran Khan, di mana mereka membahas hubungan bilateral antara kedua negara dan cara-cara untuk mendukungnya.
Badan tersebut menambahkan bahwa kedua belah pihak meninjau perkembangan terakhir baik regional maupun internasional, terutama perkembangan di Afghanistan.
Pakistan menjadi tuan rumah video conference untuk tetangga Afghanistan untuk membahas situasi di wilayah tersebut, dan mengumumkan dalam sebuah pernyataan bahwa perwakilan dari China, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan dan Turkmenistan setuju untuk berkomunikasi untuk menindaklanjuti perkembangan di Afghanistan.
Pernyataan itu menunjukkan bahwa stabilitas situasi di Afghanistan memberikan peluang bagi negara-negara tetangganya di tingkat ekonomi dan komersial, dan dianggap sebagai area untuk komunikasi regional yang terintegrasi.
