Parlemen Turki Setuju Pengiriman Militer ke Libya

ANKARA : Dalam sidang darurat yang diselenggarkan Kamis, (2/1/2020), mayoritas anggota Parlemen Turki menyetujui sebuah memorandum yang mengesahkan pengirim pasukan militer Turki ke Libya sebagaimana diajukan pemerintah.
Dukungan militer Turki dalam rangka mendukung pemerintah Al-Wefaq, pemerintahan Libya yang diakui PBB. Keputusan Parlemen tersebut seperti dilansir aljazeera.net langsung dikutuk Mesir, dan mendapat tanggapan beragam dari masyarakat internasional.
Menurut portal berita hurriyatdailynews.com, (2/1/2020) Parlemen Turki memberi wewenang kepada pemerintah untuk mengirim pasukan Turki ke Libya untuk penempatan satu tahun pada sesi sidang darurat mereka pada 2 Januari 2020.
Dalam mosi tersebut, 325 suara mendukung dan 184 suara menentang. Partai Keadilan dan Pembangunan (AKP) yang berkuasa, Partai Gerakan Nasionalis (MHP) mendukung mosi. Sementara itu, Oposisi utama Partai Rakyat Republik (CHP), oposisi İYİ (Good), Partai Felicity (SP) dan Partai Rakyat Demokratik (HDP) keberatan dengan hal itu.
Pemerintah Ankara mengatakan bahwa penyebaran (militer) itu penting bagi Turki untuk melindungi kepentingannya di Libya dan Mediterania timur, sementara partai-partai oposisi berpendapat langkah itu justru akan melibatkan Turki dalam konflik lain dan mendesak pemerintah untuk mencari solusi diplomatik di Libya sebagai gantinya.
Memorandum mandat akan memungkinkan Presiden Turki untuk pengiriman satu tahun yang dapat diperbarui termasuk mengirim pasukan militer ke Libya, untuk mendukung pemerintah Al-Wefaq dalam menghadapi pasukan pensiunan Mayor Jenderal Khalifa Haftar.
Selain itu, memo tersebut juga memungkinkan bagi Presiden Recep Tayyip Erdogan untuk memutuskan waktu pengiriman, tingkat penyebaran dan jumlah pasukan.
Fouad Oktay, Wakil Presiden Turki, menekankan dalam sebuah tweet bahwa negaranya akan terus melindungi kepentingannya dan menggagalkan konspirasi di wilayah tersebut. Ia menjelaskan bahwa setiap langkah yang diambil oleh pemerintah Turki di Mediterania timur didasarkan pada rencana dan strategi, dan datang setelah studi mendalam.
Menteri Luar Negeri Turki Mevlüt Çavuşo juga mengatakan dalam tweet-nya bahwa “memorandum itu penting untuk melindungi kepentingan negara kita, untuk perdamaian dan stabilitas kawasan supaya menjadi baik.” ( Fath)
