“Semarak Resepsi Diplomatik Peringatan HUT RI ke-78 di Nairobi, Refleksi Kehangatan Hubungan Indonesia-Kenya”
Hiramedia : Sebagai upaya menjaga momentum kehangatan hubungan kedua negara, dalam rangka memperingati HUT RI ke-78, KBRI Nairobi kembali menggelar kegiatan Resepsi Diplomatik pada tanggal 21 September 2023. Resepsi tersebut dihadiri oleh tokoh-tokoh pemerintahan Kenya dan kalangan diplomatik dari negara-negara sahabat, serta lapangan pengusaha.
Tahun 2023 merupakan tahun yang spesial bagi hubungan bilateral Indonesia dengan Kenya. Pasalnya, hingga bulan September 2023 saja telah terjadi beberapa kali saling kunjung tingkat menteri dari kedua belah pihak. Pada Januari dan Juli lalu, Menko Marves Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan menyambangi Kenya dan bertemu dengan Presiden William Samoei Ruto. Sebagai balasan, Menteri Investasi, Perdagangan, dan Industri Kenya, Moses Kuria, mengunjungi Indonesia pada Mei 2023.
Peningkatan intensitas hubungan kedua negara mencapai puncaknya pada 20-21 Agustus 2023, dimana Presiden Joko Widodo mengunjungi Kenya. Kunjungan tersebut merupakan kunjungan kenegaraan pertama Presiden RI ke Kenya setelah lebih dari 44 tahun terjalinnya hubungan diplomatik di antara kedua negara.
Dalam sambutannya, Duta Besar RI di Nairobi, Dr. Mohamad Hery Saripudin, mengulas kembali capaian-capaian yang telah berhasil diraih dalam hubungan RI-Kenya. “Dalam kunjungan Presiden, tercatat 15 kesepakatan berhasil ditandatangani oleh kedua belah pihak, baik G-to-G, G-to-B, maupun B-to-B,” ujarnya. Beberapa kesepakatan yang ditandatangani antara kedua pemerintah di antaranya adalah terkait sektor energi, pertambangan dan geologi, farmasi, dan ternak. Dubes Hery juga menjelaskan bahwa hubungan baik antara kedua negara perlu dilanjutkan dengan kunjungan Presiden Ruto ke Indonesia.
Sambutan dari tamu kehormatan, Director General and Chief of Staff for the Cabinet Secretary, Duta Besar Isaia Kabira, juga memberikan apresiasi terhadap kunjungan bersejarah Presiden RI ke Kenya, dan menggarisbawahi pentingnya peningkatan kerja sama ekonomi dan bagaimana kunjungan Presiden RI dapat memberikan dampak signifikan bagi hal tersebut.
Resepsi diplomatik merupakan ajang “promosi” Indonesia di Kenya. Selain menjadi showcase bagi produk-produk ekonomi Indonesia, kegiatan tersebut menampilkan berbagai pertunjukan seni dan budaya Indonesia, seperti tari giring-giring dari Kalimantan Tengah, tari piring dari Sumatera Barat, dan tari kembang kipas dari DKI Jakarta, yang ketiganya dibawakan oleh penari dari sanggar Gema Citra Nusantara yang berbasis di Jakarta. Tak kalah, seorang diaspora Indonesia di Kenya, Dewi, juga mempersembahkan tarian Cenderawasih dari kampung halamannya, Bali.
Dalam resepsi, ditampilkan juga pertunjukan bela diri Pencak Silat oleh para pesilat asli Kenya binaan KBRI Nairobi. “Pencak Silat terus kita bina. Harapan ke depannya adalah menjadikan Pencak Silat sebagai olahraga yang dipertandingkan secara reguler dan diakui Komite Olimpiade Nasional dan Kementerian Olahraga Kenya,” jelas Dubes Hery.
Eratnya hubungan sosial-budaya dapat menjadi katalis peningkatan intensitas hubungan Indonesia-Kenya. pemahaman akan satu sama lain diperlukan untuk meningkatkan diplomasi ke tahap berikutnya. Dalam momentum kunjungan Presiden RI ke Nairobi, kita perkenalkan juga seni budaya kita di Kenya agar kehangatan hubungan kedua negara tetap terjaga.
