Hiramedia : Menjelang pelaksanaan haji 1443 H./2022 M. seperti biasa pemerintah Arab saudi melakukan razia besar-besaran di se antero negeri, terutama di sekitar wilayah dua tempat suci Mekkah dan Madinah.
Dilansir arabnews.com (6/6/2022), pihak berwenang Arab Saudi menangkap 13.702 orang dalam satu minggu karena melanggar peraturan tempat tinggal, pekerjaan dan keamanan perbatasan, menurut sebuah laporan resmi.
Diberitakan bahwa dari 26 Mei hingga 1 Juni, total 8.362 orang telah ditangkap karena melanggar aturan kependudukan. Sementara itu, 3.513 ditahan karena upaya penyeberangan perbatasan ilegal, dan 1.827 lainnya karena masalah ketenagakerjaan.
Laporan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa di antara 253 orang yang ditangkap karena mencoba memasuki Kerajaan secara ilegal, 50 persen adalah warga Yaman, 41 persen Ethiopia, dan 9 persen berkebangsaan lain.
Selanjutnya 18 orang ditangkap mencoba menyeberang ke negara tetangga, dan 16 orang ditahan karena terlibat dalam pengangkutan dan penyembunyian pelanggar.
Kementerian Dalam Negeri Saudi mengatakan bahwa siapa pun yang ditemukan membantu masuk secara ilegal ke Kerajaan, termasuk mengangkut dan menyediakan tempat berlindung, dapat menghadapi hukuman penjara maksimal 15 tahun, denda hingga SR1 juta ($260.000), atau penyitaan kendaraan dan Properti.
Pelanggaran yang dicurigai dapat dilaporkan di nomor bebas pulsa 911 di wilayah Makkah dan Riyadh, dan 999 atau 996 di wilayah lain Kerajaan. Demikian, arabnews,com melaporkan.
