Hiramedia : Bagdad mengumumkan pembentukan aliansi Sunni baru yang dipimpin oleh Khamis al-Khanjar yang disebut “Al-Azm” dan mencakup 34 deputi.
Dilansir aljazeera.net (11/12/2021) Al-Khanjar mengatakan dalam konferensi pers di sela-sela pengumuman koalisi sehari sebelumnya (Kamis, 9/12/2021) bahwa ia berusaha agar koalisi menjadi tambahan besar dalam proses politik, mendorong kuat ke arah pembentukan pemerintahan berikutnya, dan memfasilitasi penyelenggaraan sidang pertama Parleman Al-Khanjar menambahkan bahwa aliansinya berkomitmen pada persatuan dan keamanan Irak.
Menurutnya, koalisi akan terus berkomunikasi dengan semua pihak untuk memperbaiki apa yang dia sebut sebagai kesalahan yang dilakukan sejak 2003 untuk mencegah terulangnya kembali.
Pada gilirannya, perwakilan dari koalisi “Azm”, Salem Al-Zoba’i, mengatakan dalam sebuah pernyataan bahwa Al-Khanjar adalah ekspresi dari keputusan akhir dalam negosiasi politik dan negosiasi untuk memilih tiga Presiden.
Aliansi Sunni yang baru mencakup 5 kekuatan politik (Azm Alliance, Mass Party Block, Hasm Movement for Reform, deputies dari National Contract Block, dan Arab Alliance di Kirkuk). Partai-partai politik tersebut berpartisipasi dalam pemilihan di kegubernuran Anbar (barat), Salah al-Din, Kirkuk dan Niniwe (utara).

Dijelaskan bahwa salah satu tujuan utama aliansi tersebut adalah untuk mendukung hak para pengungsi untuk kembali ke rumah mereka tanpa syarat dan memberikan kompensasi kepada mereka.
Pada tanggal 10 Oktober lalu, Irak menyaksikan pemilihan Parlemen awal yang dipimpin oleh Gerakan Sadrist (Sadr) dengan 73 kursi dari 329 kursi. Sementara itu, koalisi “Kemajuan” memenangkan 37 kursi, koalisi “Negara Hukum-Daula al-Qanun) ” memenangkan 33 kursi, dan “partai Demokrat Kurdistan” memenangkan Partai” 31 kursi.
