Utusan Norwegia tersebut mengatakan bahwa anggota Kuartet di Timur Tengah berharap untuk membawa Palestina dan Israel kembali ke meja perundingan yang semestinya dengan segera.
Dia menunjukkan komitmennya untuk terus berbicara terus terang dengan semua pihak, untuk mendorong Palestina dan Israel untuk memperjuangkan perdamaian, dan untuk mendesak mereka agar tidak mengambil langkah sepihak. Selain itu, ia mendorong untuk terciptanya lingkungan yang kondusif untuk dialog.

Sementara itu, Richard Mills, penjabat utusan AS untuk PBB, mengatakan Selasa, (25/1/2021) bahwa kebijakan Presiden Joe Biden di Timur Tengah “akan mendukung solusi yang disepakati untuk keberadaan dua negara, Israel-Palestina, menjaga perdamaian dan keamanan bersama dengan negara Palestina hingga menikmati kehidupan yang layak. “
Mills menambahkan bahwa pemerintahan Biden bermaksud untuk memulihkan dukungan kepada Palestina dan mengambil langkah-langkah untuk membuka kembali misi diplomatik yang ditutup oleh pemerintahan Presiden Donald Trump. Ia juga akan terus mendesak negara-negara lain untuk menormalisasi hubungan dengan Israel, tetapi mengakui bahwa “di sana tidak ada alternatif mengenai perdamaian Israel-Palestina. “
Di pihak Palestina, Menteri Luar Negeri Riyad Al-Maliki menyerukan konferensi perdamaian internasional yang dapat menjadi titik balik dalam konflik ini, dan peluncuran negosiasi status akhir berdasarkan referensi dan standar internasional.
