Menteri Haji dan Umrah Arab Saudi seperti dilansir arabnews.com (11/12/2021) bertemu dengan para investor di Kamar Dagang Makkah pekan lalu dan menekankan pentingnya kerja sama antar sektor saat Kerajaan bekerja untuk pemulihan dari dampak ekonomi akibat pandemi global.
Ahmed Bajaiffer, seorang investor di perusahaan Umrah, mengatakan kepada Arab News bahwa dalam rangka memperluas kerja sama antara sektor swasta dan publik, dimungkinkan untuk mengalokasikan tugas pengawasan yang dipercayakan kepada Kementerian Haji dan Umrah kepada perusahaan swasta.
Di antara sektor yang dapat dikerjasamakan degan pihak swasta, termasuk perusahaan penerimaan di bandara, perusahaan pengawasan, perusahaan pemantau/pengawas pelanggaran dan denda serta perusahaan penanganan jalur darat.
Salah satu ide yang sedang dibahas adalah untuk membentuk Dana Pembangunan Haji dan Umrah yang berdaulat dan berafiliasi dengan negara, kata Bajaiffer.
“Dana tersebut akan mendukung inisiatif sektor swasta dengan imbalan kemitraan investasi yang mengelola semua detail sektor,” katanya.
Bajaiffer mengatakan bahwa upaya sedang dilakukan “untuk menjadikan umrah sebagai pengalaman luar biasa yang memperkaya waktu para peziarah mengunjungi situs-situs tersebut.”
Perusahaan dapat bersaing untuk memberikan pelayanan yang lebih baik disela-sela perluasan Masjidil Haram dan pandemi. Bajaiffer mengatakan, sektor haji dan umrah, terdampak langsung dari pandemi.
Sementara itu, Ketua Komite Haji dan Umrah Nasional, Mazen Darrar, mengatakan bahwa sektor swasta dapat membantu menyediakan layanan untuk semua jemaah. Dengan demikian, dapat dipastikan bahwa “layanan diberikan secara profesional dan terhormat yang mencerminkan upaya yang dilakukan Kerajaan Arab Saudi dan citra baik dalam melayani para peziarah.”
Dia menambahkan: “Visi 2030 bertujuan untuk meningkatkan jumlah jemaah dan pengunjung melalui berbagai cara. Mungkin paling menonjol adalah untuk menarik investor ke sektor ini dengan memfasilitasi dan menyatukan mekanisme kerja dalam koordinasi dengan berbagai otoritas dan memberikan jaminan yang berkontribusi pada keberlangsungan pekerjaan mereka.”
