Turki Siap Lancarkan Operasi Militer Terhadap Unit Kurdi di Suriah

Hiramedia : Kantor berita Reuters mengutip pejabat Turki yang mengatakan bahwa Ankara sedang bersiap untuk meluncurkan operasi militer terhadap Unit Perlindungan Rakyat Kurdi di Suriah Utara. Hal itu sebagai tanggapan atas serangan yang menewaskan dua polisi Turki, jika pembicaraan prospektif dengan Washington dan Moskow dalam hal ini gagal.

Pejabat itu menambahkan bahwa tentara dan Badan Intelijen Nasional sedang membuat persiapan untuk kemungkinan operasi militer terhadap Unit Perlindungan Rakyat, sayap militer Partai Uni Demokrat Suriah, dan komponen utama dari apa yang disebut Pasukan Demokrat Suriah.
“Keputusan untuk itu telah diambil, dan koordinasi yang diperlukan akan dilakukan dengan negara-negara tertentu. Masalah ini akan dibahas dengan Rusia dan Amerika Serikat,” tambahnya.
Reuters mengutip dua pejabat Turki yang mengatakan bahwa Presiden Recep Tayyip Erdogan akan membahas masalah ini dengan rekannya dari Amerika Serikat, Joe Biden, selama KTT G-20, yang akan diadakan di ibukota Italia, Roma, pada akhir Oktober.
Seorang pejabat Turki ketiga mengatakan bahwa satuan – unit Kurdi harus didorong mundur setidaknya 30 kilometer, mencatat bahwa Rusia sepenuhnya mengontrol daerah-daerah dari mana serangan baru-baru ini terjadi, bersama dengan beberapa elemen Iran.
Pejabat yang sama menambahkan bahwa jika tidak ada hasil diplomasi dan militan Kurdi tidak meninggalkan daerah ini, operasi militer kemungkinan besar tidak akan terhindarkan.
Reuters mengatakan bahwa pejabat Turki itu mengacu pada kota Tel Rifaat – yang juga terletak di pedesaan Aleppo – dan beberapa lokasi lainnya.
Setelah serangan yang menewaskan dua polisi Turki di daerah Azaz di pedesaan Aleppo, Erdogan mengatakan bahwa negaranya bertekad untuk melenyapkan ancaman dari Suriah utara, menggambarkan serangan itu sebagai “jerami yang mematahkan punggung unta.”
Menteri Luar Negeri Turki Mevlüt avuşoğlu juga mengatakan bahwa negaranya akan melakukan segala yang diperlukan untuk membersihkan wilayah Suriah utara dari apa yang dia gambarkan sebagai teroris yang terkait dengan Partai Pekerja Kurdistan (PKK). Ia menambahkan bahwa Washington dan Moskow juga bertanggung jawab atas serangan yang dilakukan oleh satuan-unit Kurdi melawan pasukan Turki di Suriah utara.
Ankara mengkonfirmasi bahwa serangan terbaru terhadap polisi Turki di Azaz, Suriah, dilakukan oleh peluru kendali pada hari Minggu lalu dari kota Tel Rifaat.
