Turki Uji Coba Peluru Kendali Buatan Dalam Negeri
Kementerian Pertahanan Turki mengkonfirmasi hari ini, Senin, bahwa pihaknya telah berhasil menguji kepala peluru kendali buatan dalam negeri, yang mampu mengidentifikasi dan melacak sasaran dengan laser. Hal ini merupakan langkah baru bagi upaya Turki dalam rangka kemandirian di bidang industri militer.
Kementerian Pertahanan Turki seperi dilansir aljazeera.net, Senin (17/5/2020) menyatakan dalam sebuah pernyataan bahwa hulu ledak rudal “KİTİ-84” dibuat dengan kemampuan murni lokal, dan bahwa pengujian dilakukan di bawah pengawasan komando Angkatan Udara Turki.
Kementerian Pertahanan Turki memposting di halaman Twitter-nya sebuah video mengenai operasi uji coba tersebut.
Dengan keberhasilan uji coba tersebut, Turki telah membuat langkah besar menuju produksi senjata dalam negeri, yang telah menyebabkan peningkatan permintaan untuk ekspor dan mengurangi ketergantungannya pada impor sebesar 48% dibandingkan dengan periode lima tahun sebelumnya. Selain itu, industri pesawat tak berawak buatan sendiri telah tumbuh selama sepuluh tahun terakhir, sehingga menempatkan Turki pada posisi di antara empat negara pertama Dunia yang memperoduksi bidang pertahanan ini.
Salah satu tujuan dari visi 2023, pada peringatan seratus tahun pendirian Republik Turki yang diumumkan oleh Presiden Turki Recep Tayyip Erdogan, adalah untuk menjadi negara mandiri dalam hal persenjataan. Demikian situs berita aljazeera,net melaporkan. (Fath)
